review The Lady and the Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Book ↠ E-book, or Kindle E-pub review ë E-book, or Kindle E-pub Ñ Hanna Hamilton Have common interests as well as mutual attractions But with the difference in their social stations the Dukes mother forbids any thought of a romantic alliance However two such headstrong and determined lovers are not to be denied and they must struggle however they can to form a satisfactory alliance Bu. I liked this novel a lot but it could have used a little research of the era Edwin and Lydia spent entirely too much time together unchaperoned I hope Hanna Hamilton will conduct research on her next novel so it can be historically accurateI found the heroine Lydia Fernside to be strong and independent The hero Edwin Templeton was a bit of a heel if you ask me I had a lovehate relationship with his character I don t know why Lydia didn t crack Edwin upside the head at timesDue to reduced finances with her family Lydia is forced to go to live with her aunt as her companion There she meets Edwin Duke of Shropshire who insists he call him Edwin instead of Your Grace Not atypical for the time period They spend time together when Edwin finds out Lydia knows a lot about horticulture and Edwin is trying to build an arboretum on his landThe story is a bit drawn out with a few excess characters but enjoyable If you like clean historical romances you should like this one Pick up a copy and find out for yourself Enjoy

It was so full of modern day expressions and ideas that would not have happened at that time. Commoners calling a Duke by his first name? A woman digging holes to plant trees? I gave this book one star because I had to. Save your money for a real historical novel by some of the great writers. Any high school wannabe author who knew nothing about history could have writ

After the first couple of chapters, I needed to stop. It felt like a simplified and dumbed down version of a true historical fiction novel. I can't quite pin down what went wrong, but it seemed like research in the time period was lacking, conversation between c

The dowager duchess doesn't really play a role in keeping the H/h apart (despite the description), so her teary acceptance of their marriage at the end seems melodramatic. I was irr

PDF NEW The Lady and the Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Book ì Hanna Hamilton Lydia's family is going through a hardship so she's sent to live with her aunt. Soon after arriving in her new home, she's becomes friends with the local Duke and his sister. Edwin is not an ordinary duke. He'd much rather spend his days digging in the dirt and studying plants, than in a ballroom. When he discovers Lydia's interest in gardening, he asks her to assist him with his orchard, gardens, and other horticultural plans for his cou

PDF NEW The Lady and the Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Book ì Hanna Hamilton Hanna Hamilton Ñ 9 review I persevered right to the end with this book why I'm not sure. There's no substance to the main character Lydia that made her believable or likeable found her character very irritating at times.
The Duke is wooden and again lacks substance not much can be said there. I don't know how Lydia's friend Jenny didn't deck her for her arrogance and lack of sensitivity.
There is very little romance, the book just drones o

PDF NEW The Lady and the Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Book ì Hanna Hamilton A nice gentle romantic read. A heroine who knows a lot about compost heaps must be deserving of a good husband. So all in all quite a revolutionary heroine for a duke to take to. A real happy ever after tale.
